Summer Engagement Session Inspo: Vibey Pool Party in Woodstock, NH

In July of 2021, I attended a Content Day hosted by Haus of Gravity and Moonflower Design at a private home in Woodstock, NH, and one of the styled scenes gave off summer engagement session inspo in the form of a vibey pool party. It was so much fun!

This was the first content day/styled shoot I had ever attended, and I was SO excited I was able to be a part of it all! Content Days and Styled Sessions are an incredible way for photographers, like myself, to test out new tricks, new tools, new prompts, and new styles, without testing all of these things out on a paid client.

Not only were the styled sessions immaculate, it was also so incredible to meet other, local photographers and begin to develop a true sense of community with other artists. As a New Hampshire wedding photographer, I am big on community, and not so big on competition. This was such a wonderful way to combine my interest of documenting more intentionally styled sessions in the future, and also a way to make new friends honestly. I'm happy to say I've stayed in touch with a few of the other gals who attended, and it's been a treat supporting them over the years in their photography journeys as well.

I loved how playful, colorful, and FUN this session was! I loved that the models, Arlyss and Will, didn't take themselves too seriously, and totally just embraced the drama. I came away from this styled shoot feeling invigorated, and even more passionate about making your engagement session totally unique to you! If you're wanting some summer engagement session inspo, I feel like it doesn't get much better than this! Have a vibey pool party, then let's slice up some watermelon, inflate a kiddie pool, hang some disco balls, and have some fun with it! If you and your partner enjoy finding favorite beers, let's do a bar crawl and stop at some of your favorite places! I encourage you and your partner to get creative with your brainstorming, and decide on an activity, or some elements, that feel totally unique, and true to you, to incorporate them into your engagement session.
